Pure ashwagandha root from this past season's harvest and grown in Oley, Pennsylvania using organic practices. We hand process the root and sift it to a fine granulation. It can be stirred in to a beverage, hot or cold, added to a smoothie, or simmered in a broth.
If you would like to brew a tisane, use 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of the powder to 1 cup of water, add some finely chopped apple and a sprinkle of cayenne. We use 1/2 pound of apples per one gallon of water, which is usually one medium sized apple. Allow to simmer with the lid on for 10 minutes. At the end, add a fresh leafy herb such as lemon verbena and steep for 3 minutes. Strain and drink hot or cold. This is the recipe for one of our most popular bottled tisanes at market. Enjoy!
